YASSOMA
2020-2023
Burkina Faso
How might we improve health providers' motivation to communicate better with each other and with their patients, and provide high-quality Family Planning counseling and services?
YASSOMA is a set of tools designed to boost the motivation of Family Planning health providers, by improving empathy and communication between them, and with patients.
YASSOMA contains 3 complementary kits, acting throughout the service delivery:
1/ A Launch Kit to promote YASSOMA, train health centers, and durably support Family Planning providers throughout the use of the tools.
2/ An Empathy Kit, enabling agents to learn and practice empathy before and during consultations.
3/ A Satisfaction Kit that gathers the opinions of all those involved in counseling (Family Planning clients, providers, supervisors) to assess the evolution of service quality and set targets for support and improvement.
